The Catholic University of Ethiopia “S. Tommaso d’Aquino” “was born on the express request of the then Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hon. Meles Zenawy to Pope John Paul II, who was confident that the Catholic Church could contribute to Ethiopia’s growth,realising an university of quality. In response to this request, the Catholic Church in Ethiopia has taken steps to realise this wish. Despite being a minority, it nowadays manages 365 schools of all levels which are an example of excellence for the country and 76 health centers, including four hospitals. Specific objective of the project, for which it has been asked for a contribution of Solidea non-profit organization, is the realization of the building B3 of the School of Health Sciences and Medicine of the university campus, which is under construction. The building is intended to house the lecture hall of the medical school and the premises of a small clinic for first aid inside the campus
